Emi Maeda
After graduating from Kobe Yamate Girls’ High School majoring in piano, graduated from Osaka College of Music majoring in composition in 2007.
In 2007, won the 3rd prize in the 76th Music Competition of Japan.
Winning work was broadcast, NHK-FM and BS-hi NHK and NHK educational TV.
In 2008, won a composition prize in the 30th Competition held by Japan Symphony Foundation. Award-winning work premiered by Kazuyoshi Akiyama conductor, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the same year, the commissioned work premiered under the baton of Hiroyuki Onoda at the annual concert of Osaka College of Music.
In 2009, Finalist of Takefu Composition Award. As invitation composers participated in the Takefu International Music Festival.Also winning works were challenges songs with this music festival, Claude Delangle’s saxophon class.
In 2010, Finalist of JFC Composition Award. Award-winning work premiered by Toshiaki Umeda conductor, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
Now, working as a research student abroad of Rohm Music Foundation in Paris.
